Fire Element
"Summer is the vibrant celebration of life in full color."
Fire Element
The Fire Element of summer is a season of energy, happiness, and a time for lively social activity. It's the celebration to rejoice over the work of our labor. Its strengths are love and joy.

An imbalance in the Fire Element leaves us feeling unhappy, unloved, or hot with anger. It can overwhelm us with aggression and produce hatred that ignites like a wildfire. Feeling cheerless, inadequate, or easily angered can be signs of an imbalanced Fire Element.
Summer is an explosion of blossoms, without the flowers there will be no fruit in late summer (the Earth Element), or nothing to release in Autumn (the Metal Element).

Summer is a time of maximum expansion and fullness. Like a flower opening toward the warmth of the sun. This season can be filled with light, laughter, love, and enthusiasm. It's an expression of full maturity and a time for sharing and loving unconditionally.
The warmth of the Fire Element plays a strong role in our relationships and our ability to maturely give and receive love. When our fire is low, and we don't experience the fully mature bloom of summer, we feel the lack of joy or compassion to give to others.
Make time to have fun, gather with others who make you laugh. Be silly, creative, artistic, and seek your passions. Make having fun a priority; do things that make you smile. Open your heart to receive love, and share your love openly with others as well.

Fire Energy In Action
This is the season for the highest energy, so move!
Dance, run, or exercise. Get physical. Expand your horizons, try something new, add color to your life, create art, paint, be adventurous, go for hikes, play sports, or take ballroom dancing lessons. Add fun, joy, and laughter to your schedule.
Find an open meadow or hike to a mountaintop, open your arms wide to the warmth of the sun, and sing. Give praise. Browse through your Gratitude Journal and rejoice over your many blessings.
God created the Fire Element for you, to remind you to love and be loved, to celebrate life, and to rejoice abundantly over every blessing.
Do things that you're passionate about and that brings a smile to your face and love to your heart. Share your love with others. Praise God and let these blessings stay with your heart for the year ahead.
Try a little heart to heart love. Hug someone you love (a spouse, a child, a best friend). When we hug each other our hearts are close together and there is energy in that exchange. Ask them to hug you for longer than usual (a few minutes). If they're willing, embrace each other gently and feel the connection of your hearts.
This is not a common practice and may encourage laughter at first. Let the laughter and silliness out and then think about the word and energy of "love". What does true, unconditional love feel like? How does it feel in your body, in each cell?
By the end of your gentle embrace, check-in with each other. You may feel an overall sensation of calm in your heart, warmth, connection with others, peace, and ultimately love. Something as simple as a hug, with intentional love, can change your whole day.
